Bears Cave

Why to visit?
  • Located in a private coffee estate which is on the way to Shevaroyan temple.
  • Situated near Norton Bungalow, the caves were house to wild bears.
  • The main area of the cave is seen to be about 7 feet below the ground level.
  • There is a temple near this cave that is considered to be one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga and has its central area carved out of a single rock.
  • It is believed that the cave was used as a hideout and an escape route by Tipu Sultan during the time of War.
  • On the way to Shevaroyan Temple
