Nagarhole National Park (Rajiv Gandhi National Park)

Why?

  • Tiger, Indian bison and Asian elephants, leopards  can be easily seen.
  • Houses approximately 250 species of birds, including the critically endangered Oriental White Backed Vulture, Greater Spotted Eagle, Nilgiri Wood-Pigeon etc.
  • If you love trekking, avoid coming during monsoons.
  • Arrive at the park gates well before dusk, as the road through the park that leads to the lodges is prone to elephant blocks and thus closes at 6 p.m.
