Karaga Festival
  •  A folk dance originated as a ritual dedicated to Draupadi as known in these parts as droupthamma
  • The ritual pot filled with water and adorned with decorations several feet high is carried by the priest.
  • The dancers perform various acrobatic feats while following the procession accompanied by a number of musical instruments
  • Celebrated in the month of April.

  • This fair is held in honour of Shri Veerabhadra.
  • Shri Veerabhadra is believed to be one of the imperative attendant spirits of Lord Shiva.
  • Godachi fair also marks the tribute to this deity.

Ganesh Chathurti
  • Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with prayers offered to Gauri, the mother of Lord Ganesh.
  • The married women pray to Goddess Gauri, to get blessings of their long lasting married life.
  • It is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi in karnataka.
  • Celebrated in the month of September.
