Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park (Wandoor)

Why?
  • Vast stretch of surreal underwater life, massive coral reefs, verdant vegetated islands, thick mangrove forests and sparkling sandy beaches
  • Encompasses 281 sq km that include 15 uninhabited islands
  • Only two islands — Jolly Buoy and Red Skin — are open to visitors, alternatively for six months each where you get to see corals

Special Attraction :

  • Enjoy a 10-min tour of the coral reef in a glass-bottomed boat and then dropped off at the beach. For the next 3 hrs you swim, snorkel (15 mins, included in the package) and picnic (all food and water to be brought with you)
Location:
  • Begins at Wandoor village, with a ferry ride or southern part of South Andaman , 1 - 2 hrs bus ride away from Port Blair.
